UMYF
This is our program for youth (United Methodist Youth Fellowship), grades 7-12. We meet on the first Sunday of the month for lunch at Papa’s Pizza in Hiawassee.  If the first Sunday falls on an holiday weekend, we meet instead the second Sunday.  Meet us after the second service to carpool.

The ABC’s of Faith Our Sunday Night children’s ministry meets at 5:30 in the Fellowship Hall for supper and goes until 7pm.  We study the stories of the Bible through crafts, games and integrative lessons. A sign-up sheet to provide supper is available outside the church office.

Sharp UMC/Enotah Village After-School Program
Running on Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30-5pm, we provide after-school care, homework help, and activities at the Enotah Village Apartment complex in Young Harris.  Service Learning Students from Young Harris College volunteer with us and we have a great time sharing God’s love with God’s children!

Children’s and Youth Sunday School at Sharp

We currently have two active classes for children and youth.

The Children’s Class(ages 3-8) uses the Rock Solid Curriculum and is taught by the wonderful Mrs. Louise Arnold. Your kids will love learning about the Bible through wonderful crafts and storybooks.

The Youth Class (Middle-High) uses uniquely created lessons based around episodes of their favorite television shows. Shows they study include, The Simpsons, The Cosby Show and the Twilight Zone. The Class is led by a young and energetic couple: Jen and Henry Angelopolous.

Chime Choir
Our choir is led by our Director of Music, Pam Leslie, and meets the first Sunday of the month, after the youth lunch (see above), until 2pm.

Acolyte Program
Children who are in 2nd grade or older may participate in our acolyte program. Acolytes assist and lead in our worship services, and once trained, are placed on a rotation list for Sunday participation. Children who are interested may contact Lauren Neal for training.

Crucifer Program
Youth (7th - 12 grade) that are interested in becoming a Crucifer (crossbearer) on Sunday mornings are asked to contact Lauren Judy Neal for training. Once trained, youth are placed on a rotation list for Sunday participation.
