Purpose:
The purpose of the Family Ministries Committee of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church is to provide a series of programs that promote fellowship and activities for the Sharp “family” and the community at large. To accomplish this goal, “Wonderful Wednesday” events will be planned that emphasize nurturing, family, fun and fellowship.
The primary 2011 church goal the Family Ministries Committee plans to support is Goal #1, "Grow and sustain the membership of Sharp Memorial UMC" by creating and enhancing a welcoming environment, fulfilling the Vision, and delivering the "Role of the Church."
Action Plan:
The 2011 objectives from the Family Ministries Committee include:
To promote a minimum of three Wonderful Wednesday events which may include a performance by members of the church choir, a covered dish dinner, a trivia night, or other presentations and performances.
To provide new members with a complimentary meal as a manner of welcoming them to our church family.
Wonderful Wednesday events for 2011 will tentatively take place on the following dates: May 18, June 22, and July 20.
Advertisement of events will appear in the church bulletin, the newsletter, and on e-SHARP. |
